Lower Case Letters, Symbols and Numbers

This assignment is in continuation of the font creation assignment. We had to create the lower case letters, numbers and symbols.

I used the same brush tool in Illustrator.

This time it was much easier.

Assignment 6 Create Uppercase Font

The assignment for this week was to create our own personal font starting with the uppercase letters.

I am fan of fonts that look like it's written by hand. That was the look I was going for.

I used a brush in illustrator that looked like a stroke of a pen.  I ended up using "Type Tool 3" import the letters I created in illustrator.

I think the end product was not to bad. This being my first time ever creating my own font.

Let's see how lower case will look?

Assignment 1 Video Yuk

I never used flash so this is really awful. Sorry. Enjoy the second of your life being taken away.

The Flambouant Peacock - Assignment 3 Using Wacom Drawing Tablet

The assignment required that we use the electronic drawing tablet, use all washes with no solid color fill.  The topic was our choose.

I used the tablet to do the line drawing of the peacock in Illustrator. I then opened up the line drawing in Photoshop. I created the background in two layers. One layer I got used a brush tool that had a water color effect and covered it with purple water color marks. The second background layer I used the gradiant tool and used a seafoam green and dark pink to cover the layer. I made sure that the purple layer was over the to toned layer.

Then I selected the line drawing and locked the layer. I opened up a new layer and coloring the lines with pinks and a feather textured brush.

I think it looks really cool and it has sort of a very amateur Picasso feel to it.
